General Rental Information
Both the renter and the driver must be in possession of a valid driver's license.
The driver must have held a valid driver's license for at least one year.
Driving licenses printed with non-Roman alphabets (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc.) must be accompanied by an international driving permit.
You must present a valid identification document or passport at the time of collection!

Special information for reservations with prepaid rates.
Changes to the reservation
A reservation can be changed up to 48 hours before the start of the rental (subject to availability). Any payment already made will not be refunded; nor will any difference in value be refunded if the change results in a lower rental cost.

Cancellation
A reservation can be cancelled before the start of the rental. In case of cancellation, the advance payment will be refunded, subject to a cancellation fee, which will be retained and will correspond to the rental value (including extras and fees) up to a maximum of 3 rental days. No-show
If the reserved vehicle is not picked up or is not picked up at the agreed time, the full amount already paid will be retained.

Age Restrictions
In Portugal, the following rules apply regarding the minimum age and possession of a driver's license:
21 years old / 1 year of driving experience for all vehicle groups.
For drivers under 25 years of age (minimum age of 21), an additional fee of €10 per rental day applies.

The following credit cards are accepted: Mastercard and VISA. We also accept debit cards (Visa Electron).
The renter must be the cardholder of the indicated credit card. The authorized driver's details and payment method will be confirmed at the time of booking and cannot be changed. The confirmed credit card must be valid and available for presentation at the time of vehicle pick-up. All additional costs during the rental period will be charged to this card.

When booking a prepaid rate, your credit card will be charged the estimated total amount before the rental begins.
The price includes the rental cost and any additional fees.

The rental price (plus any other agreed fees such as liability waivers, delivery, airport fees, etc.) plus applicable VAT must be paid in full for the agreed rental period. There will be no refund for late pick-up or early return.

General
A pre-authorization will be made as a guarantee on the chosen payment method. The exact amount of the deposit is determined at the time of collection, as it depends on the vehicle model.

General Insurance Conditions
Civil Liability Insurance (TPI)
It includes liability coverage up to 50 million euros for personal injury and property damage.
The renter is liable up to the maximum amount in case of accidents caused by themselves, parking damage, theft, or damage caused by unknown third parties.
The transport of dangerous goods is excluded from protection. Protection is void if the vehicle is driven by an unauthorized driver or without a valid license.

Who is authorized to drive?
Only the individuals listed as drivers on the rental agreement are authorized to drive the vehicle.

Disclaimer of Liability for Damages (CDW)
All rates include CDW.
The customer has a deductible that depends on the car model chosen.

Premium Protection
Full coverage: no deductible in case of damage or theft, personal accident insurance and superior roadside assistance. There will be no cost to the customer, except in case of negligence or breach of terms.

Light Protection
Reduces the deductible to €200 in case of damage or theft. Includes personal accident insurance and superior roadside assistance. The same exclusions apply as with premium protection.

Basic Protection
It retains the deductible (amount depends on the car), but includes roadside assistance, tire and glass damage coverage, and personal insurance in case of an accident.

SCDW Protection
Reduces liability to €200 in case of damage. No other protections included. In case of theft, you are responsible for the full deductible.

THW Protection
Reduces liability to €200 in case of theft. No other protections included. In case of damage, you remain responsible for the full deductible.

Superior Roadside Assistance
Avoid the €350 fee charged whenever a customer requests assistance. Whatever the reason, you will be exempt from this fee.

Neglect
No protection is valid in cases of negligence. Examples: wrong fuel, traffic violations, unauthorized driver, interior damage…

A fee of €50 applies for rentals between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, and €100 for rentals between 10:00 PM and 11:59 PM.

Only upon request. Authorized circulation in foreign countries incurs a fee of €40. Unauthorized circulation incurs a fee of €500.

Fee of €2 per day.

Accessories are available by reservation and subject to availability.
Baby/child chair: €8 per day.
Additional driver€4 per day, maximum of €40 per month.

Vehicles are delivered with a full tank of gas and must be returned in the same condition. Otherwise, a refueling fee will be applied.

An administrative fee of €40 will be charged for fines or identification requests during the rental period.
The tenant is responsible for all fines.

All prices include VAT (where applicable).

Toll Service
It allows automatic payment of all tolls, including those that are exclusively electronic (formerly SCUTs).

Advantages

• Peace of mind: avoids fines and administrative costs.

• Convenience: no need to stop to pay.

• Save time: avoid queues at traditional toll booths.

By law, you can only use electronic tolls with this service.
Without activating the service and using electronic tolls, a fee of €100 will be charged, plus device activation and toll costs.

How do I activate it?
At the beginning of the rental period, by signing the Declaration of Responsibility.
Cost: €3.08/day (maximum 10 days). Tolls used are charged at the end.

Payment:
Credit or debit card.

Refusal of service:
There is no other legal way to pay tolls for vehicles with an active toll collection device.

Failure to pay will result in fines and administrative costs.

Fee: €4.92/day (maximum €49.20)

Minimum age: 21 years and driving license for at least 1 year.
Fee: €10.00/day (maximum €100)
Prices include VAT.

Return the favor at the same level (Like to Like)
You must return the vehicle with the same fuel level. If it is not returned, you will be charged for the missing fuel plus a €50 fee.

Prepayment
Pay the full deposit upon departure and return it empty. Fixed price and total flexibility.

Confirmation
After booking, you will be directed to the "Booking Confirmation" page and will receive an email with the details. Please save it.

• Reservations up to 12 months in advance.
  Minimum duration: 1 day (24h)
  Less than 24 hours: charged as 1 day.
  Maximum duration: 90 days

“"Book and pay now": full payment upon booking.

B. Payment methods

• Credit cards (Mastercard, Visa)

• The cardholder must be the primary driver.

• The card must be presented at checkout.

C. Security Deposit / Transaction Authorization
At check-out: a pre-authorization will be made.
The security deposit depends on the deductible or estimated rental value.
For rentals longer than 30 days, a new monthly authorization is required.

Changes to your reservation / Cancellation Policy
You can change/cancel online up to 24 hours before pickup by sending an email to [email protected]
For prepaid bookings, fees may apply. See TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

If it is not possible to deliver the reserved vehicle at the guaranteed time:

• Free alternative, within 1 hour.

• No card details required: guaranteed for 1 hour after pickup time.

• With card details: guaranteed until closing time or 12:00 PM the following day.

Flight delay:
If you provide the flight number, the reservation is guaranteed 1 hour after arrival.
An after-hours fee may apply.

No Show
If you do not cancel at least 48 hours in advance and do not pick up the vehicle, a fee of €50 will be charged.
The full amount paid will be retained.

Inability to deliver the reserved vehicle:
The following will be offered:

• Free upgrade

• Downgrade with refund or voucher

Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to force majeure.
For prepaid bookings: full refund.
For guaranteed bookings: no no-show fee applies.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain guarantees.
Nothing in these terms affects the consumer's legal rights nor excludes liability for death or injury caused by negligence.
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. The competent court is the Court of Porto.
